stupid tax

I love rainy days and the thoughtfulness that comes with it… I almost cannot help but be reflective on rainy days. Sitting at my desk by the window, life feels peaceful and the moment very still.
then…
I hear a loud noise going down my street. And I realize it’s the street sweeper… I remember back to where I parked my car last night… I run out the door just in time to see a sweet little envelope with a love note from the Berkeley meter maids tucked under my windshield wiper. That was so sweet of them.
I have a category in my financial tracking called the “Stupid Tax”… it’s the label I give things that are dumb mistakes, forgotten payments, and parking tickets… here’s to another stupid tax.
